Landmark trees
Here's a list of the best trees I've been able to find in San Francisco, by species (213 different species listed, and still growing). Where more than one tree is listed, the best specimen is the first one listed. Please email me with additional nominations, and help build this database. Note: to be listed here, a tree must be easily identified by reference to a street address in San Francisco. There are many more trees in San Francisco's parks that aren't so easily located, and so haven't been listed. I've also identified the trees that I think are particularly spectacular like this!
